About us
We are seeking participants to join our CDC-funded national study to understand the long-term effects of SARS-COV-2 among patients who had symptoms of COVID-19 and was tested within the last 42 days. Participants will describe how they feel by completing surveys online. The goal of the study is to generate knowledge rapidly and produce actionable insights to combat the pandemic.
Participant requirements
Age 18 or older
Have COVID-19 symptoms and was tested within the past 42 days
Have internet access on their smartphone or computer
How it works
UCSF is partnering with Hugo Health to collect data for this study. The Hugo Health platform enables participants to keep their health information secure and private, connect to the latest health information, and allows researchers realtime access to data for analysis. Participants will enroll in the study, answer surveys every 3 months for 18 months, and redeem incentives all on the Hugo platform. Your participation will help us learn faster, act quicker, and save more lives.
Activities
- Complete brief surveys
- There will be no specimen collections as this is strictly a survey study.
- Optional: connect your health portal (e.g., MyChart) to Hugo Health
Location
- All of the surveys will be sent to your Hugo Health account which can be access on our mobile app or website.
- You will not need to travel anywhere for the study.
Duration
- Your participation will take less than 30 minutes, once every 3 months, for 18 months total.
Compensation
- You can earn up to $100 for answering all of the surveys.
Steps to enroll
To enroll, we will ask you a few brief questions about yourself. Participants must complete the following steps:
- Verify your COVID test date and results
- Create a Hugo Health account
- Optional: link your health portal (e.g. MyChart) to Hugo Health
- Complete the baseline survey
